Castor oil and labor?????????????????????????

I thought my water broke so i went in the hospital today and they say it didn't but i know i didnt pee. anyways Today i had contractions 13 min apart. then i ate and laid down and my contractions went away. they are slightly back now 3 hours later and i would really like to get the show on the road.Now i know castor oil is dangerous to ingest but i heard if you rub it on your belly it will cause contractions. Also i plan on sittin on the exercise ball. Has anyone tried the castor oil on belly thing?
