I've become a bit of a Boise State football fan recently. When did the Bronco's become a good team?

just want to know a little more about the exciting Boise State Bronco's, was it their coach that made them competitive, the athletic director....i really like watching them play, and definately want to travel to Idaho one day....loks like a beautiful state!
